Mistaken Identity (Formerly Midnight Express) is one of the Oldest Guilds in all of the game, and lays claim to being one of the first Guilds to reach Level 20. Some of the best and worst people in the game have worn the tags of this guild, and this Guild is the home to the Bane of Icewind Pass… so beware if you flag for PvP in that zone.

Guild Rules and Constitution:
a. DISCORD IS A REQUIREMENT
i. We believe that a guild should be a reliable team of friends that can count on each other within the game. Communication is the key to maintaining a successful guild, so we require that all players have Discord.
b. Don’t be a jerk to fellow guild or alliance members!
i. If you are a jerk it is grounds for a kick from the guild, consider this as your first and last warning
c. No bug economy exploits or hacks/ scamming other players/ or TOS violations (like selling in game items for real world money)
i. If you have been caught doing any of these you will be escorted out of the guild, and probably reported
ii. Nothing you can do as a member would reflect worse on our guild than violation of this point, and we take this very seriously
Player Development (under revision)
a. We do not have an item level requirement for members, but if you are below 20k IL, then we expect to see you regularly participating in guild/ alliance activities to bring your character up to speed.
b. Player’s main characters must be Level 80 within 1 week of joining the guild
c. If you are online, not in a dungeon/ pvp match, and a call goes out for a guild event like marauders, or dragon flight you are expected to show up
i. This is especially important if we need to rebuild guild structures
ii. If you choose to ignore the call for a guild event and do not have a legitimate excuse it is grounds for demotion, or even removal from the guild
Promotions and Rank roles
a. Promotions are based on guild visibility and merit
i. Unless we are starting a recruiting drive, at which point rank 1 members will be promoted to rank 2
ii. Promotions over Rank 3 will use a benefactor system, in this type of system an officer will suggest promoting a member, at which time other officers have a 24 hour period to object, if there are no objection the benefactor can then promote that player
iii. Don’t ask for a promotion, it is grounds to be kicked from the guild. If you want a promotion, show initiative and activity!
b. Rank 4 and above are guild officers
i. Can only be achieved if members show leadership potential and have active involvement in guild and alliance activities
ii. Can only be achieved if that player is active on discord (they do not need a mic, but must be active in guild text conversations)
iii. Can be demoted at anytime by a rank 6 or above
c. Rank 5 are trusted guild officers
i. Can only be achieved if that player has demonstrated trustworthiness in the rank 4 role
ii. Can only be achieved if that user is active on discord, both text and voice (does not need a mic, but must regularly log in to voice chat to at least listen)
iii. Can be demoted/ removed with a majority vote of rank 6, or by a rank 7
d. Rank 6 are the directors and key voices of leadership
i. Long standing members of the guild that have displayed leadership in game, as well as discord
ii. Must be active in guild/ alliance event, discord (both voice and text) as well as demonstrate good judgment when it comes to drama surrounding the guild and alliance member interaction
iii. Can only be demoted/ removed by a super majority vote of rank 6’s, or a majority vote of rank 7’s
e. Rank 7 members are the ruling council of the guild
i. There will always be an odd number of rank 7 members
ii. While rank 7’s can act on their own, individual decisions can be overridden by a majority vote among the rank 7’s, or a super majority ( 2/3) of the rank 6’s
iii. Rank 7’s can be removed by a super majority vote of rank 6 members
iv. When a rank 7 player steps down, is removed, or leaves the game, a new rank 7 will be chosen as soon as possible by the current rank 7’s with consent given by available rank 6 members
